Hi, welcome to my blog on Texas Country Music.
After discovering my first choices for blog names
were already taken, I had to figure what to call it?
I asked myself why I was doing the blog? What were
my goals? Who was my audience? In short, what was
my motivation for doing so?
It all starts with the fact that I love the guitar
of all styles.
I also enjoy the sounds of the Banjo,
Mandolin, Fiddle, Steel, Resonator. I love music
in general; Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass,
and Country. And the Country Music coming out
of Texas is the absolute best! There are so many
great songs comingfrom so many great
Texas Country Music Artists.
Ever since I started to recognize my tastes in
music, I’ve always “promoted” what I like to
others; always turning others on to the artists
and bands that I thought highly of. I wanted to
have a place for folks to go to read, see, and hear
about the music I like coming out of Texas; so it
became evident that Texas, Country, and Music
would be in the title. I am a junkie of such; and it
is my intent to make more junkies. : )
Put it all together and you have the name of the
I am amazed at the amount of great music that
never gets played on national radio; especially
the music coming from Texas.
My personal mission is to educate and enlighten
the rest of the world; and in particular California,
about Texas Country Music.
I will cover some nationally known Texas Country
Artists and bands, but my primary focus will be those
that have not surfaced into the national scene.
On each blog post, I will be covering an individual
Country Music Artist or Band once every couple weeks
to begin with; then once a week, with other content
woven in between time.
I will give some bio and history, as well as comment
on 3-4 of their songs. I will also provide links to the
artist’s website, facebook, myspace, mycountryspace,
and twitter pages. I do have a good sized list of artists
to begin with; but in the future I might welcome any
artist or band suggestions, and if they fit my personal
tastes, possibly use them in future posts.
I will also be posting about the places these artists
perform, as well as info on related website or articles
that I find of interest.
Ultimately, I would like to help in bringing Texas
Country Music to Southern California—boy do we need it!
Finally, I would like to draw your attention to some
additional pages on this blog.
I will have some affiliate links and banners coming soon
to this blog; please take a moment to see a briefing alert
on my “Affiliate Status Page”, which will be coming soon,
once the affiliates are fully functional.
Additionally, there will be a page link that will provide you
with information on how you too can start your own blog.
That is all for now.
Stay tuned for my first artist post coming
real soon. If you would like to receive notification of new
postings, please take the time to type in your name and email
address in the form to the right of the video.
The info you provide will not be shared or used for any purpose
other than the promotion of the content of the blog.
I look forward to sharing with you what I consider to
be the Best of Texas.
